Dr Elizabeth Tham is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Division of Paediatric Allergy, Immunology & Rheumatology at the Department of Paediatrics, Khoo Teck Puat - National University Children's Medical Institute, National University Hospital; as well as Assistant Professor, Clinician-Scientist, Department of Paediatrics, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLLSoM), National University of Singapore (NUS). She is also a Principal Investigator in the Growing Up in Singapore towards Healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) and Singapore PREconception Study of long-Term maternal and child Outcomes (S-PRESTO) cohorts.

She is a Clinician-Scientist with a research focus on childhood allergic disorders, early life immunomodulation and Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DoHAD). Her research aims to study risk factors and endophenotypes of childhood allergic disorders, and to elucidate the role of the skin, gut and environmental microbiomes in modulating atopic dermatitis risk and disease control; with an eventual goal of developing translational interventions for disease prevention and improvement of clinical care.
