Research Focus
Specializes in full-chain translational medicine, spanning from “population phenomenon discovery” to “biological mechanism research” and “clinical application.” Her work focuses on the environmental factors—such as air quality, diet, and lifestyle—associated with disease development, which are significantly influenced by economic and societal shifts. Emerging environmental factors like air pollution, unhealthy diets, poor sleep patterns, and reduced physical activity have become pressing health concerns in recent years.
Since 2016, Dr. Zhang has led research on environmental exposures and chronic conditions affecting maternal and child health. She has contributed to establishing the Northeastern China Natural Population Cohort—Mother-Child-Youth Cohort and has spearheaded the creation of a specialized cohort for pediatric asthma in Northeastern China. Leveraging cohort data and precision medicine, she has published over 20 high-impact international papers, with a cumulative impact factor of 137.869. Her ongoing research grants exceed 1 million RMB. Recognized as a Young Key Talent by China Medical University and a Leading Talent in Shenyang City, received the Shengjing Hospital 345 Talent Grant for three consecutive years, and awarded the First Prize in Science and Technology Progress by Liaoning Province.
